Film Poster

This is our final film poster, we chose to keep it simple so that it clearly advertises our film. The colour scheme is very dull, we even lowered the opacity of the writing to get a deep and dark sense of what the film is like. We made sure the blood was a clear red just like on the magazine cover. Also by making the movie title big to ensure it is clear in the viewers mind. Again, we stuck to the conventions of horror posters where the protagonist is not making eye contact with the viewer but gives out a strong aura and presence. We chose a image with an emotion that is sinful yet faultless as our trailer and the story behind our horror is that innocent teenagers were deformed into zombies without their will. Within the trailer there is no main protagonist or killer but simply of teenagers becoming zombies and not having control of themselves and having the nature to kill everyone. The angle in which Katy's head is directed gives the viewer a sense that she is hiding behind the fall of hair as though she is ashamed as blood drips from her chin and mouth. However this entices the viewer into the emotion of the girl in the poster, the question that may be left in their head of what this girl will do next. For the information that is normally placed below a poster we stuck to the style but edited the names to that of our own. This is all we wanted on our poster as we felt there was enough else on our magazine cover. Also like the other horror posters we analysed they kept the layout, colours, text and style simple yet effective.
