Magazine Cover

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Our magazine layout has ensured we have used all the space available to ensure the viewer has an insight to the magazine and what it is about. Apart from the advertising of the free posters inside we stuck to one main image so the attention was drawn to out horror. Also as it was a horror, we didn't want it to be full or images and lots of bright colours-we wanted a dull and eery feel to it. Our tag line along with our other text placed on the magazine gives the reader more of an insight to the magazine and helps them choose whether or not to buy it. The different colours makes each word stand out boldly against each other so that each bit has a key importance, by putting them in different sizes and fonts also shows how important each part is. We put the title as the biggest and our horror name the second biggest as these two parts are of main importance. The fonts used are different, for example the tag line was done in a more creepy handwriting font to make it more genuine. The target audience for this magazine is controlled mainly by the picture, as it is clearly of a teenager, we would expect the majority of our readers to be aged within the teens. Also as it advertises a horror and there is a indication of blood we would expect the actual film to have an age rating.
